Edward Treble and Tonya Barr
Mr. and Mrs. Martin and Marsha Barr of LaPorte announce the engagement of their daughter, Tonya R. Barr of Washington, D.C., to Edward P. Treble II of Arlington, VA. Edward is the son of Christopher Treble and the late Nancy Treble of Atherton, CA.
Tonya graduated from LaPorte High School in 2000. She completed her bachelor’s in political science from DePauw University in 2004 and will finish the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation’s nonprofit management fellowship in May 2009. This fall, she will enroll in Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs, where she will pursue her master’s in public affairs. She is currently employed as the manager of state relations at the Tax Foundation, a tax policy research nonprofit based in Washington, D.C.
Edward graduated from Palo Alto High School in Palo Alto, CA, in 1995. He completed his bachelor’s in history at the University of California at Berkeley in 2000. This fall, he will enroll in Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, where he will pursue his master’s of business administration. He is a captain in the United States Marine Corps, and is currently employed by the Warfighting Laboratory in Quantico, VA. He will continue as a Marine Corps Reservist as he pursues his full-time MBA from Indiana University.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 15, 2009.
