Derrick James Maxey, 25, of Michigan City, IN, died at 1 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, in Michigan City.
He was born March 29, 1984, to Jamie and Patricia (Mullins) Maxey.
Derrick enjoyed spending time with his family and was a NASCAR fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his parents and his grandmother, Hattie Mullins of Michigan City.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents and one uncle.
There will be no services. Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
