   Jerry and Carol Butzer of LaPorte are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a weeklong family vacation at the Bay Harbor, MI, resort.

   Jerry Butzer and the former Carol Loy were married on July 25, 1959, in Whitehall, MI. The ceremony was held in the First Congregational Church and Rev. Keith Davis officiated.

   The maid of honor was Diane Forbes (Warrick) and the best man was Joseph Clark.

   The Butzers transferred to LaPorte in 1972 with Howmet. They continue to reside in LaPorte.

   Jerry and Carol have two children: Chris (Tom) Gooch of Granger, IN, and Greg (Marsha) Butzer of Whitehall, MI. They have four grandchildren: Emily and Amy Gooch, and Ryan and Erik Butzer.

   Jerry retired following 38 years with Howmet and Carol was a real estate broker prior to retirement.
