Norma Colston, 76, of LaPorte, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at LaPorte Hospital.

   She was born March 10, 1933, in Walkerton, IN, to Clarence E. and Hazel A. (Collings) Rose.

   On Sept. 30, 1967, in LaPorte, she married Robert Lee Colston, who preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2007.

   Surviving are daughters Nora Vitale of Okmulgee,OK, Anna Marie Snyder of LaPorte, Linda (Larry) Brooks of LaPorte, Sue (Bruce) Cunningham of LaPorte, and Bobbie (Dave) Hollendersky of Mentor,OH; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

   Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; sons Roger W. Colston and Robert Lee Colston Jr.; grandson Roger W. Colston Jr.; daughter-in-law Tina Marie Colston; son-in-law Jim Vitale; and one brother, Arthur W. Rose.

   Friends will be received at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Tuesday, July 28, from 4 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later time in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
