Jim and Luke Neubert, from Alturas, CA, can boast a rare occupation on their business cards: colt starting. The brothers travel the country, visiting ranches and farms to “start” colts — in other words, provide early training for the young horses. This past week the Neuberts spent a few days at Blue Rock Farm on south County Road 150 West in LaPorte County to work with horses not only at Blue Rock, but other colts from the area whose owners brought them to the farm. These guys are awesome! They do such a nice job with the colts. We are lucky to have them come to the area. Thanks for doing the article!
