If you have ever owned a dog or cat, you will be able to relate to many of these things cats and dogs do that make us love them and want to make them part of our families.
Dogs:
1. Floppy ears.
2. They sense when you’re sad.
3. Wild rolls in the grass.
4. They fearlessly stick their heads out of car windows.
5. That quizzical head tilt.
6. They go silly with joy when you get home.
7. They can walk themselves, leash in mouth.
8. Noses that nuzzle.
9. The elegant way they sometimes cross their paws.
10. The spot you can scratch to make their leg go crazy.
11. Their bravery — except during storms.
12. They “run” in their sleep, pawing at the air.
13. Mournful looks when they are hoping for a treat.
14. Going belly up for a tummy rub.
15. They always love you — even on days when you can’t do anything right.
Cats:
1. Noses that twitch.
2. Super-soft pink paws.
3. Their love affair with open boxes.
4. Rhythmic purrs.
5. Full-body stretches.
6. They curl up on your chest.
7. Their ability to find the only square inch of sunshine on the carpet and fall asleep on it.
8. “Pet me now” nudges.
9. Their attention-seeking stunts.
10. The way they curl their tails around their body so tidily.
11. Sandpaper kisses.
12. Their cranky meows when you keep them waiting.
13. They daintily step all over the newspaper you’re reading.
14. The warmth of their bodies.
15. Whenever you look up, they’re there.
Paws till next time — Jane
