Project Warm Child was a tremendous success in reaching out to the children in LaPorte again this year. We at Cutler Funeral Home want to offer a warm thank you to residents of LaPorte and LaPorte County for their overwhelming support, contributing over 1,200 new winter items for children in need.

We would like to recognize Dr. Judith A. DeMuth, superintendent of LaPorte Community School Corporation, and the teachers and counselors working in the schools for encouraging the effort, making personal donations and, especially, for helping to identify and distribute the gifts to specific children in need.

The Cutler Funeral Home staff wants to extend a special thanks to Thaddeus C. Gallery, Step Ahead School and The Leo Club at LaPorte High School. The Leos, under direction of Christine Rosenbaum, repeated their command performance in collecting an abundance of items at the high school. We also want to recognize LaPorte Savings Bank, the Herald-Argus and “What’s New, LaPorte?” for helping us get the word out to all the generous hearts of LaPorte.

We hope to continue Cutler Cares’ Project Warm Child, the community-wide drive for new coats, hats, gloves, and other new winter items, next year. We understand that this outreach mission of providing the needy children with clothing in frigid weather cannot be done alone but requires all of us to come together with love and kindness.

Thank you all for caring. Sincerely,

Bob, Cindy, Dale, Amanda, Thaddeus and Yolanda at Cutler Funeral Home, 2900 Monroe St., LaPorte
