Mrs. Thelma L. Ziska, 94, of LaPorte, died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at Golden Living Center-Countryside, LaPorte.
She was born Sept. 15, 1915, in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, the daughter of Frank and Angie (Sawyer) Williams.
Thelma worked as a waitress.
She was married to James J. Ziska, who preceded her in death in August of 1975.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie (Ernest) James of Inverness, FL; son, James (Kathleen) Ziska of Berrien Springs, MI; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley Dowdy of Edgecomb, ME.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Cremation will take place. Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
