Mr. Robert John Dolick, 82, of LaPorte, died at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at LaPorte Hospital.
He was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Reynolds, IN, to Bernard and Ethel (Murray) Dolick.
Mr. Dolick was employed by Clark Equipment as a paint sprayer, and by A.P. Parts as an environmental engineer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. He enjoyed gardening and was a kind, considerate friend and neighbor.
On Sept. 7, 1955, in Ft. Smith, AK, he married Judith Wolf, who survives.
Also surviving are his sister, Elizabeth Haywood of Monticello, IN; his brother, Clifford Dolick of Lafayette, IN; his sister-in-law, Thelma Dolick of Pueblo West, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, George, Clarence, Charles and Francis Dolick.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Steven Cunnington officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m., and Monday from 9 to 10 a.m.
