Oliver Budd Hefright, 83, of Hamlet, IN, died at 11:24 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at LaPorte Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1926, in Massillion, OH, to Frank and Mildred (Jones) Williams, both of whom preceded him in death.
Oliver was a truck driver until his retirement in 1989. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In 1951 In Hammond, IN, he married Delores (Dolly) Laviolette, who preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were five children and one sister, Gertrude Sarvady.
Surviving Oliver are seven children, Jack Hefright of South Haven , MI, Sharon (Charles) Chambers of Knox, IN, Frank Hefright of Michigan City, IN, Roger (Diane) Hefright of LaPorte, Pamela (Robert) Williams of Hamlet, William Hefright of Michigan City, and Randy (Becky) Hefright of Hamlet; two sisters, Phyllis Noyes and Becky (Charles) Debos, both of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
