Jean B. Pataluch died on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Thorek Hospital in Chicago.
Jean was born Jan. 25, 1931, in LaPorte to Joseph and Bernice (Nieduzak) Pataluch.
Jean had made Chicago her home for many years.
Before her retirement she had been employed by the Mariott Hotels in Chicago.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph (Lola) Pataluch of Granger, IN; sisters-in-law Thelma Pataluch and Irene Pataluch, both of LaPorte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Josephine Wiencek and Michaelene Pentek; and her brothers, Stanley and Casimir Pataluch.
A private family service will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, at 11 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Ian Williams officiating. There will be no visitation. According to her wishes, cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
