Kimberlie Rubeck 1   Kimberlie L. Rubeck, 34, of Michigan City, IN, died at 12:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, 2010, at the home of her mother and stepfather.

   She was born Nov. 21, 1975, in Michigan City to Robert E. and Donna L. (Arion) Rubeck.

   Kimberlie was a cook for Pottawattomie Country Club for 10 years. She had attended Elston High School, Michigan City. Kimberlie enjoyed time with her family and friends and was the best aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was an avid pet lover.

   She leaves behind her mother and stepfather, Donna L. and Carl H. Hoder of Michigan City; father, Robert E. Rubeck of New Buffalo, MI; two sisters, Michelle (Steve) Williams of Rolling Prairie, IN, and Karol (Keith) Organ of LaPorte; one brother, Mike Rubeck of Michigan City; two stepbrothers, Robert Hoder of Michigan City and Carl Hoder Jr. of Boulder, CO; maternal grandmother, Vera Arion of LaPorte; four nieces, Angela, Meghen, Jessica and Olivia; two nephews, Kody and Austin; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Also, her three cats, Char, Cole and Charlie.

   She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Donald Arion, and paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Frances Rubeck. One cat, Tubby, and two dogs, Buffy and Scooter, also preceded her in death.

   A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at noon at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Pastor Dennis Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 15, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery on Saturday following the service.
