LaPorte County Sheriff Michael Mollenhauer has announced the arrest of three LaPorte residents for dealing narcotics and opiates in the city of LaPorte. The arrests are the result of an investigation by the LaPorte County Metro Operations Unit.heads

   Arrested were:

– Floyd “Jason” Keehn, 26, of Country Acres Apartments, LaPorte

– Samantha Putz, 21, of Country Acres Apartments, LaPorte

– Nicole Alexander, 38, of Glenwood Street, LaPorte

   Keehn was charged with two counts of dealing a Schedule IV controlled substance (class B felonies), Putz was charged with three counts of dealing a Schedule IV controlled substance (class B felonies), and Alexander was charged with two counts of dealing a Schedule II controlled substance (class A felonies).

   Indiana Code defines Schedule II controlled substances as opiates, their derivatives or compounds. Indiana Code defines Schedule IV controlled substances as narcotic drugs.

   All three were taken to LaPorte County Jail and were scheduled to appear in LaPorte Circuit Court on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.

   The La Porte County Metro Operations Unit is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics investigation task force that is comprised of investigators from the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office and LaPorte Police Department.
