I am soooo sad our tree that has held many swings for our daughter and has had numerous litters of squirls born in it has to come down. It is about 4 feet across at the base. There are many memories linked to that tree. We have tried for 10 years to keep it alive and now it is past the point of no return.

This article brings back old memories of two catalpa trees on my property when I lived on Glenwood Street near Lily Lake (Glenwood is a dead end at Lily Lake) in the 1960s. Due to the location it was perfect for fishing and live bait...one-stop recreation. Thanks for the memories...priceless.
