James Lebo   James L. Lebo, 75, of Kingsford Heights, IN, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, in his home.

   He was born March 9, 1934, in Winamac, IN, to Hervie and Goldie (Freeman) Lebo.

   Mr. Lebo operated a body shop business, but was a truck driver most of his life. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and attended Lambs Chapel Church, LaPorte. For years, James bowled at Thunderbird and Quick’s Lanes in the Crazy 8’s Bowling League. He truly enjoyed truck driving because he was able to visit most of the 50 states. James also enjoyed vacationing, visiting family in Pennsylvania and spending time with his dogs, Sissy and Callie. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed.

   On Sept. 7, 1991, in LaPorte, he married Theresa “Teri” (Richey) Lebo, who survives.

   Also surviving are six daughters, Debbie (Charlie) Kirk, Penny Walls, Tina (Gary) Geyer, Michelle O’Donnell, Maria Lungren, and Jennifer (David) Gray; four sons, Jamie (Kris) Lebo, Rob (Sugil) O’Donnell, Steve (Karen) O’Donnell, and Dan (Bobby Joe) Sturken; one sister, Pat Eudy (Ed Beglier); one brother, Hervie (Yvonne) Lebo; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

   Preceding him in death were his parents, one daughter and one grandson.

   Cremation will take place. A memorial gathering will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte. At the conclusion of the gathering, the family will share memories and will read a eulogy. Everyone is invited to share their memories of James. Close friends and family are then invited to a gathering at the American Legion in Kingsford Heights at 4 p.m. Saturday.
