Mrs. Vicky L. Pettway, 58, of Cedar Grove, NJ, died at 9:34 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne, NJ.
She was born March 3, 1951, in Elwood, IN, to Richard A. and G. Juanita (Gipson) Hines.
Mrs. Pettway was a dietary aide for LaPorte Hospital. She was a member of The New Day Foundation.
On Feb. 26, 1988, in Detroit, MI, she married Walker Pettway, who died April 7, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Wolfe, and her father.
She leaves behind two daughters, Lynn (Kevin) Bryant of Bearden, AK, and Cassandra Passmore of LaPorte; one son, Jerry (Shelly) Passmore of LaPorte; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Capps of Elwood, IN, and Jody Hines Preihs of Cedar Grove, NJ; two brothers, Jim (Pat) Vair of Antigo, WI, and Richard Hines of Plymouth, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte. Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until the service.
