Kehoe is one of the lucky animals who found a new home after his stay at the Michiana Humane Society.

Help! Help! These animals need help! Have you ever adopted a pet? Well, then you’re a lifesaver, because the Michiana Humane Society in Michigan City collects many animals, but only eight get adopted in a week. If a pet stays too long, they send it to another shelter.
So think about it, what if you were that animal? How would you feel living in a shelter and not in a warm, loving home such as yours? Please, will you be the loving and caring person for a hopeless pet?
Please tell your friends and family to adopt a pet, and give hope to these animals. You can also help by being a volunteer or donating money to the Michiana shelter. If you want to adopt one of these darlings, you could adopt a dog, a cat, parrots, hamsters, mice, and lots more. So will you adopt a pet and be a lifesaver?
Please go to http://michianahumanesociety.org and also to the LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter’s web page, http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/IN89.html, because pets are looking forward to being adopted!
We would like to thank Paula Lott, who works at the humane society, for letting us interview her for this article!
