Jeanette Lane   Jeanette Arlene Lane, 73, of Michigan City, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, in Michigan City.

   She was born March 26, 1936, in Michigan City, daughter of Frank and Ethel Ruth (Gallager) Waldo.

   Jeanette worked as a licensed beautician for many years, working with her sister Lucille. Jeanette was a member of Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose 935 for 30 years, and Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She served as a precinct committeewoman.

   On Sept. 14, 1979, in Michigan City, she married Oliver M. “Bob” Lane, who survives.

   Also surviving are her sons, John T. (Nancy) Klotz of Brockport, NY, Dennis (Alice) Klotz of Evansville, IN, and Dale (Deborah) Klotz; grandchildren Jason (Jamie) Klotz, Nicholos (Shalynn) Klotz, Jimmie Klotz and Chloe Klotz; great-grandchildren Ashlynn, Jordan and Nevaeh Klotz; brother William (Pat) Waldo of Decatur, IN; and sister Ethel Shepperson of Michigan City.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, four brother and three sisters.

   Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Lambs Chapel United Methodist Church, LaPorte, with Rev. Jay Loucks and Rev. Truman Wingo officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Lambs Chapel Cemetery, LaPorte. Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
