Hundreds of LaPorte County fourth graders got to take a field trip to the LaPorte Armory on Feb. 24 and 25 to experience the annual Ag Days programs, presented by the LaPorte County Row Crop Food Producers Team and Purdue Extension-LaPorte County.

The event, which features presentations on a variety of agriculture-related subjects, gives an opportunity for those involved in agriculture to reach students and tell them about this business of feeding the world and the importance of agriculture in their lives. Twelve separate stations focused on the subjects of beef, crops, dairy, alternative crops, crop protection, insects, poultry, rabbits, garden, machinery, technology, and water quality.
