Terry L. Long, 59, of Fish Lake, IN, died Friday, March 5, 2010, in Indianapolis.
He was born in LaPorte, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Wedel) Long.
Terry was a member of Union Mills American Legion. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed NASCAR and the outdoors. He worked as a self-employed roofer.
On Jan. 11, 1991, in LaPorte, he married Margaret Harris, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert R. Long of Poinciana, FL, and Marshall T. (Sarah Greene) Long of Fish Lake; two stepsons, Joedy D. (Christina) Lantz of Koontz Lake, IN, and Todd A. Aaron of Knox, IN; four grandchildren, Kiya Long, Mckenzie Long, Marc Lantz and Shauna Lantz; one sister, Kathleen Grage of LaPorte; and six brothers, Harold Long of Attica, IN, John (Audrey) Long of Fish Lake, James (Wilma) Long of Fish Lake, Frank (Kathy) Long of Westville, Larry (LuAnne) Long of Walkerton, and Donald (Lucille Salzer) Long of Mill Creek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, JoAnn Buckmaster; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Wednesday, March 10, from 2 to 6 p.m. A service will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating. Full military honors will be conducted at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
