Jeanette Eleonora (Waters) Hill, 85, of St. Louis, MO, and formerly of LaPorte, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, in St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 15, 1924, in LaPorte to Robert and Adeline (Tieman) Waters.
Mrs. Hill was previously a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in LaPorte. She recently attended Windsor Baptist Church in Imperial, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Bud” Vernon Hill Jr.; her brother, Howard Vernon Waters, and her parents and grandparents.
She is survived by her son, Vernon Robert (Jamie) Hill of Barnhart, MO; her grandchildren, Brittany, Lindsey, Zachary and Isaiah Hill and Elizabeth, David and Kathrine Howard, all of Barnhart; her sister-in-law, Sherry Waters of LaPorte; two nieces, Lynn Waters and Judy (Russell) Bernacchi, both of LaPorte; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends.
Friends will be received at Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Friday, March 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. A service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Ron Mackey officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will take place in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, at a later date.
