Mr. David N. Schnick, 66, of Michigan City, IN, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City.
He was born July 12, 1943, in Chicago, the son of Raymond E. Sr. and June F. (Wilson) Schnick. He lived for 20 years in Houston, TX, and the rest of his life in the LaPorte area.
David worked as an electrician. He attended the Episcopalian Trinity Church in Michigan City. He was a former member of Moose Lodge. David enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his son, William (Cara) Schnick of Wadsworth, OH; five daughters, Elizabeth (Troy) Veeder of New Mexico, and Christine (Avery) Caldwell, Tammy (Bobby) Hoke, Roberta (Joe) Tipton and Valerie (Jose) Luna, all of Houston; two brothers, Raymond (Sharon) Schnick of LaPorte and Allen (Billie) Schnick of Sevierville, TN; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, David Schnick and Michael Schnick.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Friday, March 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Andy Hanyzewski officiating.
