Have you ever had someone show prejudice against you? Well, I have noticed it becoming more common in everyday areas. Though you may not notice it, some people do and it may affect them. We need to take action about this immediately.

If people want to be prejudiced, they deserve major consequences. One consequence is they should be fired from their job. Although their consequence would be decided by their actions. Also, they should not be allowed to return to that specific job. They would be fired for insubordination.

The second consequence is to be given jail time. This jail time could vary anywhere from one night to five years. Their actions would determine their jail time. People need to understand that being prejudiced is not okay.

The final consequence should be a fine. The fine could be anywhere from $1,000 to $6,000. If this is not paid in a given amount, the person would receive a court date. The amount of fine would be determined by the person’s attitude, what he or she said, and when it was paid. This consequence is very important so people understand what they did wrong.

I picked this problem because I saw it happen right in front of my face, and it affected others and me. These consequences are all important. Also this will hopefully stop prejudice.

   Sincerely,

Chasity Hartke
