Folks brought items to recycle, picked up some free reusable bags and other items, and enjoyed cake and punch at the LaPorte County Solid Waste District’s Earth Day open house April 22.
The open house gave residents an opportunity to meet with SWD Executive Director Clay Turner and his staff, tour their offices at 2354 N. U.S. 35, and get more information about the district’s recycling program, hazardous waste drop-off days and more.
