Dramatic skies and intermittent showers didn’t keep draft horses and their owners from demonstrating some hard work Sunday, April 25. The John and Karel Dreessen Farm in Hamlet was the beautiful site for the LaPorte County Draft Horse Association’s Old-Fashioned Horse Plow Day.
The powerful horses pulled their human co-workers on vintage plows. Kids and adults enjoyed watching the demonstrations and also some home-cooked food.
The LaPorte County Draft Horse Association’s 10th annual Draft Horse Hitch Show is July 23-24 at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds. For more information about the association and the show, visit www.lpcountydrafthorse.com.

I am an artist and I love your photographs and was wondering if you would give me permission to paint some of them. Thank you
