The LaPorte Slicers earned sectional crown No. 35 Tuesday night, June 1, 2010, with a 7-3 win over Portage in the championship game of the tourney at Crown Point.
The Slicers beat the host Bulldogs earlier in the evening, 9-5, to advance.
The schedule for the LaPorte Baseball Regional this Saturday, June 5, at Schreiber Field is as follows:
— 10:30 am: Game 1, Penn vs. Warsaw
— Approximately 50 minutes after completion of Game 1: Game 2, Munster vs LaPorte
— Championship Game: 7 p.m.
