Katie Stam and Brian Irk, both of Indianapolis, announce their plans to wed in July 2010 in Indianapolis.
Katie graduated from Seymour High School, Seymour, IN, and is currently a senior at the University of Indianapolis studying communications. She is a former Miss America and is currently self-employed as a public speaker. Katie’s parents are Tracy and Keith Stam of Seymour.
Brian graduated from LaPorte High School in 2003 and from the University of Indianapolis in 2007 with a degree in communications. He met his future bride at UINDY. Brian is a personal trainer and coaches a U-12 boys soccer team, Westside United. His parents are Barb and Jerry Irk, formerly of LaPorte and now of Hendersonville, NC.
Prior to their wedding, Katie will be making appearances in LaPorte at the Red Power Round-up at the La Porte County Fairgrounds on June 24, and in the LaPorte Jaycees Fourth of July Parade.
