Thirty-seven La Lumiere School students will matriculate to 24 colleges and universities in the fall of 2010, and have been awarded over $1.75 million in merit scholarships. Their college choices are as varied as their personalities and accomplishments.

Following is a sampling of the schools that extended offers to the La Lumiere Class of 2010: Stanford University, University of Notre Dame, Vassar College, Swarthmore College, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Indiana University, University of Michigan, University of Illinois, and Purdue University.

Individual merit scholarships ranged from a few thousand dollars to full-ride scholarships valued at over $100,000. In addition to university-sponsored scholarships, students garnered recognition from other organizations as well.

The American Legion named a student as a finalist in its national Eagle Scout of the Year competition, a student was named as a finalist in the Indiana Junior Miss Pageant, and the Notre Dame Club of St. Joseph Valley recognized a student for academic and leadership skills, just to name a few.
