Collin Shaughnessy, infant son of Dennis Shaughnessy and Kelsie (Taylor) Shaughnessy, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.
He was born Aug. 23, 2010, in LaPorte. Collin was only here for a short period of time; he left a lasting impression in our hearts and thoughts.
He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Kelsie Shaughnessy of LaPorte; one sister, McKinzie Shaughnessy of LaPorte; grandparents, Rich and Denise Taylor of Mill Creek, IN; grandfather, Dennis J. Shaughnessy Sr. of Chicago; great-grandparents, Dan and Irene Mowrey of Lebanon, KY, and Bob and Sandra Taylor of LaPorte; great-grandmother, Alice Zoladz of Chicago; and many other loved ones.
Collin was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Latimer, and brother, Conlin Shaughnessy.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Wednesday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Ian Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
