Mr. Robert W. Ilseman, 54, of LaPorte, died at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 31, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 21, 1956, in Hinsdale, IL, to Robert E. and Margaret L. (Carmody) Ilseman.
Mr. Ilseman was a library clerk for The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He enjoyed history and jazz music and was an avid Cubs fan.
On May 9, 1992, in Chicago, he married Kym Ogden, who survives.
Also surviving are one sister, Mary (Keith) Godbey of Parker, CO; two stepsisters, Carol (Terry) Wentland and Ellen (Clay) Bridgewater, both of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, Don Ilseman of Scottsdale; several nieces and nephews; and one uncle, Ray Haiduk of Scottsdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Wanda Ilseman.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Chaplain Steve Laue officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte, following the service.
