1. Surf’s up at Lake Michigan

      WNLP photographer Mike Kellems stopped by Lake Michigan Sept. 4, 2010, and spotted these two daring young men riding the rough Lake Michigan surf on boogie boards while being pulled by a sail. Later in some calmer moments he captured the lighthouse and pier in the sunset.

      I was there the same time taking shots of this young man. Did you happen to get his name? I never thought of it but I have some great shots of him I would like to give him. I have one of him way up in the air and another with the sun behind him and water spraying up that I would like for him to have. I didn’t have pencil and paper and never thought of it at the time to get his name. Thanks for any help you might have. Mary

      Thanks for your interest, Mary. Mike Kellems, who took the photos, did not get the young man’s name either. Maybe he’ll reappear sometime!
