Rachel Cornwell and Ian Essling of Bloomington, IN, are planning a December wedding in 2011 in Bloomington.
Rachel is the daughter of Denny and Melba Cornwell of Bloomington. A 2007 graduate of the Indiana University School of Education, she is pursuing a master’s 
degree at IU. She is employed by North Lawrence Community Schools in Bedford and teaches reading.
Ian is the son of Michael and Cheryl Essling of LaPorte. He is a 2002 graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington and earned the Certified Financial Planner designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, in 2005. He is a Partner and Senior Adviser for Innovative Financial Solutions, a Bloomington-based wealth management firm.
Rachel and Ian met through friends in Bloomington. While on a trip to Chicago, Ian proposed on the couple’s two-year anniversary.
