Amy Charlotte Jones and Roger William Jackson Jr. wed in LaPorte on July 31, 2010, at the home of Ralph and Charlotte Jones, grandparents of the bride.
Amy is the daughter of Chip and Susie Jones of LaPorte. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 2005 and Indiana University in 2009 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She works as a third-grade teacher at Galapagos Charter School in Chicago.
Roger is the son of Roger Jackson Sr. of LaPorte and Beth Jackson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from LaPorte High School in 2004 and Indiana University in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree in business management and operations. He is currently working in sales/marketing for Dex Media in Chicago.
Amy’s sisters, Brady and Kelly Jones, served as matron and maid of honor. Kevin Rasp, brother-in-law of the bride, prepared a special reading specifically for the bride and groom. Also sharing a special reading was bridesmaid Ashlie Ostergren, best friend of the bride. Other bridesmaids were Darby Alcorn, cousin of the bride, Kayte Jackson, sister of the groom, and Abigail Brainerd, Katie Harris, Molly Ohime, Jenna Heckman, Meredith McClarnon, and Jordan Hollander, all best friends of the bride.
Best man was Ryan Jackson, twin brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Shawn Dickt, Andrew McIntyre and Bobby Brown, all best friends of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dancing reception was held at Silver Palace in LaPorte. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and are now home in Chicago.
Amy and Roger would like to thank their parents for all of their love and support. Also, they would like to thank Ralph and Charlotte Jones for allowing them to start their new life at their home, a place filled with more love and happy memories than one could measure.
