A Hudson Lake man has been charged with stealing a Bobcat track loader from a Hudson Lake site. Timothy Keller, 50, is charged with possession of stolen property, a Class D felony, and a previous count of
possession of marijuana, a Class D felony.
On Dec. 14, 2011, New Carlisle Police and the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department linked Keller with the December theft of the Bobcat from a construction site in Hudson Township in northeastern LaPorte County. Police found the Bobcat in the 8000 block of Aspen Lane in Hudson Lake. It has since been returned to the company from which it was stolen.
LaPorte County Sheriff Mike Mollenhauer credits the communication between the New Carlisle Police Department and LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office. “We take great pride in the cooperative spirit of law enforcement in the LaPorte County area and this latest example of teamwork across county lines,” Mollenhauer said in a press release.
Keller was being held at LaPorte County Jail on $1,210 bond.
