The sixth annual Prairie Pride Harvest Market at Fawn Run Farm is slated for Saturday, Sept. 4, in rural northern LaPorte County. Boasting a summer’s bounty of folk art, crafts, antiques, and garden goods, this open-air market features booths situated both inside the handcrafted barn, on a spacious porch, and on the beautifully landscaped
surrounding grounds.
More than 30 vendors will offer a wide range of goods. Handcrafted folk art/ craft booths will feature primitive dolls, soft-sculpted and wooden seasonal characters, framed embroidery pictures, reversible blue jean purses, appliquéd kitchen linens, dried floral wreaths and arrangements, baskets, painted furniture, wooden and metal garden art, wood-turned and wood-carved gifts, jewelry, chair caning, and more. Antique dealers will display country and primitive furniture, linens, crocks, quilts, and more. Garden/nursery vendors will offer herb plants, conifers, blueberry bushes, hostas, daylilies, ornamental grasses, mums, hard-shell gourds, heirloom garden produce, pickles, jams, birdbaths, plus naturals for fall decorating.
Strolling musicians Liza and Mark Woolever will entertain with folk and country acoustic selections. Rolling Prairie Conservation Club members will offer a pulled-pork sandwich plate, ice cream treats, and beverages. Parking and admission are free of charge.
