If you would like to submit a birth announcement to “What’s New, LaPorte?,” please feel free to go beyond what most publications accept when it comes to information and photos.
By the way, there is no charge.
WNLP will run up to three photos with each birth announcement. You might send, for example, a picture of the baby and parents, baby and siblings, baby and grandparents, even baby and pets. Be sure to include all names and relationships to baby.
As for information, please include this: baby’s name, date and place of birth, weight and length, parents’ names, grandparents’ names and great-grandparents’ names (whatever is applicable), siblings’ names and ages, and even family pets’ names. And are there interesting tidbits of information? For example, is the baby named after someone in the family or does he or she bear a name for some reason in particular?
