Elias Edward Sawaya was born Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at 7:45 a.m. at IU Health LaPorte Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Elias was welcomed by proud parents Steven and Liz Sawaya of LaPorte.

Also welcoming Elias are his grandparents, Sharon Sawaya (LaPorte), Mike and Joyce Gillock (LaPorte) and Gary and Donna Stanford (Hammond).

Alex Hunter Allesee was born Dec. 21, 2011, at 3:35 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital to Stephanie and Alex Benjamin Allesee of LaPorte. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long.

Audrey Brianne June Rife was born Dec. 2, 2011, at 7:48 a.m. to Michael and Falynn (Davis) Rife of Michigan City. She weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 21 inches long.

Also welcoming Audrey are her three brothers, Kaeleb Rife, Averi Rife and Jordyn Rife, and her sister, Adelynn Rife; her grandparents, Roger Wingard and Juanita Rife of Michigan City; her great-grandmother, Peggy Rife of Denton, TX; her grandparents, Kimberly Umfleet and Michael and Virginia Davis, all of Michigan City; and her great-grandmother Brenda Davis and special great-grandfather the late James Davis of Michigan City. Mason Case Boone was born July 18, 2011, at 3:02 p.m. at LaPorte Hospital to Mark Boone and Norma KayAnn Marcum of Fish Lake.

Also welcoming Mason are his grandparents, Les (Emma) Marcum of Mill Creek, Tracie (Brian) Kitch of South Bend, Dorothy Wiltfong of Stillwell and Daniel Boone of Walkerton; and great-grandparents Rena Johnson of LaPorte and Norma Gaut of South Bend.

Mason was born with Smith-Lemli Opitz Syndrome and spends a majority of his time at Riley Hospital for Children Indiana University Health. He can’t wait to be bigger and stronger so he can play with his cousins, aunts and uncles, dog and sister Kaylee.

Wesley Andrew Cooper was born to Lindsey (Boardman) and Andrew Cooper of Indianapolis at 2:23 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2011, at Community North Hospital Indianapolis. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 21.5 inches long.

Also welcoming Wesley are his big sister, Molly Jean; his grandparents, Cindi and Chris Boardman of LaPorte, and Carol Mannix and Mike Cooper, both of Marion, IN; and his great-grandparents, Jean Boardman of LaPorte and Wava and Merrill Cooper of Marion.

McKenna Reece Spitzmesser was born to Sarah and Micah Spitzmesser of LaPorte on Sept. 27, 2011, at 9:27 p.m. McKenna weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and was 20 inches long.
