Mango3D provides a powerful Lychee Slicer update

Mango3D has introduced a new version of the popular Lychee Slicer. The software for preparing 3D printing jobs has been extensively revised and offers many improvements.

Lychee Slicer is one of the few slicing solutions that isn’t directly tied to a specific 3D printer manufacturer. As a proprietary product, it is not open source, but is available in free and paid Pro versions.

Originally designed only for resin printers, Lychee also supports slicing for FFF 3D printers from 2022. This dual approach is practical because only one tool needs to be learned for different 3D printing processes.

The current version 6.0.2 brings many innovations. Under the hood, the code base has been significantly revised and is ready for future expansions. Support generation has been completely redesigned, allowing supports to be automatically networked for greater stability. A “grid” mode improves support for adhesive prints. FFF works also include new functions such as surface smoothing and “ironing” for hidden seams.

Other highlights include Boolean operations on 3D models during job creation and direct support for many new 3D printers. Overall, Mango3D promises to significantly increase the performance and usability of their flagship product.

Lychee Slicer Pro for resin and FFF prints 99.90 euros per year Available. Individual licenses for resin or FFF are available for 69.90 euros annually.
