AA serious traffic accident occurred on the B10 near Gallbrunn on Friday afternoon. The car crashed into a tree at high speed. The driver died on the spot in the accident.
When emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident on the B10 near Gallbrunn on Friday afternoon, they found themselves literally standing in a ruined field. A car crashes into a tree. The fire department said the vehicle may have been traveling at high speed as the tree fell due to the impact of the fire. The car was badly damaged in the accident. The engine block and several auto parts were torn from the vehicle and scattered in a nearby field.
Rescuers and crew from Christopher's 9 Emergency Medical Helicopter fought for the life of the stricken driver to no avail. He later died at the scene of the accident. “On behalf of all emergency services, we would like to express our condolences to the surviving relatives of the accident victim,” stress the emergency services of the Gallbrunn and Stixneusiedl fire departments.
The exact cause of the crash is still under police investigation. The B10 was closed for several hours after the accident. Local transport has been diverted.
